A mandala built from pointed star forms arranged in two rings around a plain centre. Unlike a floral mandala, where the eye follows curves, a geometric one is read as intersections, and that changes how it should be colored. Treating each ring as a unit works, but the more interesting approach is to follow the star points outward and color by direction rather than by ring, which makes the pattern appear to rotate. The centre is deliberately left plain and large. Leaving it white is not a failure of nerve; on a design this busy it gives the eye somewhere to rest, and a mandala with no resting point tends to look like noise however carefully it has been colored. Print on 120gsm or heavier if markers are the plan. The segments meet at sharp points, and bleed at a point is far more visible than bleed along a curve because it blunts the geometry the whole design depends on.
